CRANBERRY PTA MEMBERSHIP

Many people in Massachusetts want to join a PTA in Massachusetts, but they may not live in a part of the state that has a local PTA unit. This is especially true for out of town dignitaries and state level politicians. Therefore, Massachusetts PTA has created an active PTA unit called the “Cranberry PTA

”. This PTA unit is considered more of a state level PTA unit. Interested in joining? We now offer an online membership store! It’s not associated one specific school or city.

WHO CAN BE A MEMBER?

Anyone; it’s simply a way to be a member of Massachusetts PTA and National PTA. You can even be a member if you are already a member of your school’s PTA.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Ten dollars ($10.00) is all it takes, but the Cranberry PTA will gladly take donations in addition to the membership fee. See the online store for more details to sign up.

WILL I GET A MEMBERSHIP CARD?

You bet; membership in the Massachusetts PTA is like your local PTA membership. You can register your membership card online for the various discounts offered by National PTA.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MEMBERSHIP DUES COLLECTED?

Like any other local unit membership in PTA, $2.25 goes to National PTA. Massachusetts PTA contributes $2.25 to the Massachusetts PTA. The remaining $5.50 is used to help support the Cranberry Units projects such as the Cranberry Scholarship Fund.

WHAT IS THE CRANBERRY PTA SCHOLARSHIP FUND?

This is special fund set up by Massachusetts PTA to fund scholarships that are given annually to graduating seniors, adults returning to college to join the education field and for certified teachers to do their graduate work.

HOW DO I GET A MEMBERSHIP?

Any Massachusetts PTA board member can collect your membership dues. The Immediate Past President of Massachusetts PTA is the official Cranberry PTA President. He or she is in charge of getting your membership card to you. The Cranberry PTA President is always collecting Massachusetts PTA memberships, especially at state PTA events like Summer Leadership and the state convention.
