2016 National PTA Reflections & Awards Celebration

January 17, 2017 by Madison Estes

This past school year, nearly 300,000 students in over 8,000 schools across the country and in U.S. schools overseas contributed their original works to be considered for PTA’s highest honor in the arts. This past spring, a panel of experts reviewed more than 1,000 national round submissions. National PTA is honored to announce 206 of the most creative works from the 2015-16 school year.

Massachusetts PTA would like to recognize our 2015-16 Reflections honorees, Katherine Roberts of Monson PTSA and Ryan Behrens of Hopkinton PTA. Katherine was recognized with an Award of Excellence in Music Composition for her Concerto #1: A Child’s Dream. Ryan was recognized with an Award of Merit for Photography with his piece, Flying Through Leaves.

April 16 – Reflections Awards Reception

April 6, 2016 by Madison Estes

artworkThe Massachusetts PTA invites you to our 2016 Reflections Awards Reception to celebrate and congratulate student artwork from across the state. Join us on Saturday, April 16, 12-2pm at the Fitchburg Art Museum for awards, accolades and private access to the 2015-16 Reflections Art Gallery.

We chose the Fitchburg Art Museum because we want our accomplished student artists to feel less like students and more like artists on their special day of recognition. Student artwork will be on public display in the museum’s Community Gallery until May 2, 2016.

2015-16 Awards Reception

Join Massachusetts PTA for our Reflections Awards Reception & Celebration. We will celebrate our student artwork and state winners among family, friends, educators and artists. Past awards events have been held at the Fitchburg Art Museum and Worcester Art Museum. It is important that our student artists  are celebrated in an environment that encourages inspiration and creativity. We work with museums and arts organizations in the hopes of providing complimentary access to our students and their families.

We will announce the date and location of our 2019 Reflections Awards Celebration soon!
